Magnetoelastic Interactions in the Hexagonal Belorizky Model

The theory o f dynamical magnetoelasticity in the hexagonal Belorizky model is presented in this paper. We show that the interaction o f spins with lattice vibrations gives rise to multiaxis anisotropic biquadratic exchange. Dispersive crystal field excitations and quadrupolar interactions in UPd3.

We report inelastic neutron scattering measurements and random phase approximation calculations of the dispersive crystal field excitations of UPd(3).
